The following policies are designed to provide clarity, consistency, and mutual respect within the therapeutic relationship. These guidelines help ensure a safe, supportive, and collaborative experience. If you have questions about any policy, you are encouraged to ask during your consultation or at any time during treatment.
Scheduling & Attendance
Therapy is most effective when sessions occur consistently. Regular attendance supports continuity, nervous system stability, and meaningful therapeutic progress. Session frequency will be discussed collaboratively based on your needs, goals, and clinical recommendations.
If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time in order to maintain fairness and scheduling integrity for all clients.
Repeated missed appointments or inconsistent attendance may require a reassessment of scheduling availability.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, advance notice is required. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full session rate.
Late cancellations and missed appointments limit availability for other clients seeking care. Exceptions may be considered in the case of illness or emergency.
Specific timeframes and fees are reviewed during the intake process and included in informed consent documentation.
Telehealth & In-Person Sessions
SEVA Integrative Therapy offers both in-person and virtual sessions.
For telehealth appointments, clients are responsible for:
• Ensuring privacy during the session
• Using a secure and stable internet connection
• Participating from a quiet and confidential location
Clients must be physically located within the state where services are licensed at the time of the session.
Telehealth services are billed at the same rate as in-person sessions.
Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
Clients are responsible for understanding their insurance benefits and any copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles associated with their plan.
If insurance is used, benefits are verified in advance when possible; however, final responsibility for payment remains with the client.
Receipts are available for insurance reimbursement if you choose to pay privately.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a foundational part of the therapeutic relationship. Information shared in session is kept private and protected except in specific situations required by law, including:
• Risk of harm to self or others
• Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult
• Court orders or other legal requirements
These limits to confidentiality are discussed in greater detail during the intake process and outlined in your informed consent documents.
Communication Between Sessions
Routine communication outside of session (such as scheduling) may occur via secure methods. Clinical concerns are best addressed during scheduled sessions.
SEVA does not provide crisis response or 24-hour communication coverage.
Emergency Policy
SEVA Integrative Therapy is not a crisis service.
If you are experiencing an emergency or require immediate assistance, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
For mental health crises, you may also contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
If you are currently in danger, please seek immediate assistance through emergency services.
Scope of Practice
Services provided through SEVA Integrative Therapy are psychotherapy and integrative wellness services within the scope of professional licensure. Holistic offerings, workshops, or retreats are educational and experiential in nature and do not replace psychotherapy or medical treatment unless explicitly stated in writing.
