I’m Rebecca “Beckie” Cartinella, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of SEVA Integrative Therapy, LLC. I provide trauma-informed, integrative psychotherapy to children (ages 3+), adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a deep belief in the body’s innate capacity for healing when safety, compassion, and connection are present.

My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy while intentionally integrating somatic and mindfulness-based practices. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Structural Family Therapy, and Child-Centered Play Therapy, alongside yoga-informed practices, breathwork, meditation, Reiki, and sound healing. This integrative approach allows therapy to move beyond insight alone, supporting healing at both the cognitive and nervous system levels.

Education, Training & Credentials

I hold a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University, a Master of Education from Walden University, and a Bachelor’s in Special Education from Kean University. I am also a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500), an Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, a Certified School Social Worker, Certified Teacher of the Handicapped with 20 years experience, and a Certified Sound Healer.

My training and experience have shaped a therapeutic style that is collaborative, attuned, and deeply respectful of each client’s lived experience. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, empowered, and supported in exploring both challenges and strengths at a pace that feels right for them.

Philosophy & Areas of Passion

At the core of my work is a trauma-informed lens that recognizes how past experiences, relationships, and systems impact present-day functioning. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety and nervous system dysregulation, identity exploration, grief and life transitions, and family and relational dynamics.

I am proud to offer LGBTQIA+ affirming care and am committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for clients of all identities.

The name SEVA comes from the yogic tradition and means selfless service. This value guides my work as a therapist—approaching each therapeutic relationship with humility, presence, and care, while honoring the autonomy, wisdom, and resilience each client brings into the room.

Healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. My role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside you—helping you reconnect with your inner resources, develop greater awareness and regulation, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and aligned.

I welcome the opportunity to support you on your healing journey.
